To get the full benefit of Acro, students should attend a dance technique class such as Modern/Jazz or Contemporary alongside their Acro class.
We run a range of dance classes for both kids and adults in locations across Edinburgh, Kirkliston and South Queensferry.
We specialise in traditional syllabus based styles like Ballet, Tap and Modern. We compliment this with fabulous creative styles like Contemporary, Jazz, Acro, and Lyrical.
We also offer Musical Theatre classes, dance workshops and holiday clubs. No matter your age or experience, we’ll find the perfect class for you.

Acro classes are offered by Sylvia Bird Dance Centre. We follow an accredited dance syllabus for each subject, giving our students the opportunity to progress through Graded examinations with B.T.D.A. and we have a 100% pass rate.
Advanced Acro (s1 upwards) classes are offered by Dance Discovery. The main aim of the dance school is fun and enjoyment while working towards RAD & ISTD exams throughout the year. We also have various performance opportunities which we encourage pupils to attend.
