DurationDancehall is a Caribbean dance style that generated from the streets of Jamaica and all the moves seen in the style are created by many Jamaican dancers and groups on the street or at parties.
It’s very groovy and is all about having fun, feeling free, vibing to the music and having a party, so during the Dancehall classes I like to create an energetic fun vibe, where everyone can feel free to dance and show off however they wish.
This is an intermediate level class but beginners are also welcome, because you don’t have to be experienced in Dancehall itself, as the routines you learn during the class will consist of the foundation movements you have perfected in the beginning.
The foundation movements learnt are based around Old School, Mid-School and New School Dancehall moves, so you will always be kept up to date with the latest steps.
Some may find the new school foundations moves challenging but the class is about having fun whilst learning, so if you can finish knowing 3 out of 10 steps learnt during the class and had lots of fun whilst doing it, you are a winner!
