This course has been designed for drivers, loaders and warehouse staff. The purpose of this course is to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to safely handle, load and store dangerous goods and to give you an understanding of the different classes of dangerous goods and their hazards, along with your health and safety obligations when handing dangerous goods at your workplace.

By being the holder of a Dangerous Goods Endorsement, you will be able to transport Dangerous Goods for payment. The Dangerous Goods Endorsement includes a day of theory training in class. Participants will complete unit standard 16718 which will also be registered on the NZQA framework.
If you're transporting dangerous or hazardous goods, you need a dangerous goods endorsement on your driver licence. Dangerous goods include substances and articles that have explosive, flammable, toxic, infectious or corrosive properties.They also include containers that have held dangerous goods.
