What You'll Study
Program Curriculum
Candidates for a baccalaureate degree must fulfill the requirements for a major as listed in the courses of study bulletin.
The courses of study bulletin is the official source of information regarding degree requirements, academic policies, and academic majors and minors at Trinity University.
Pathways Curriculum
Students must complete the Pathways Curriculum in order to receive a baccalaureate degree.
The Pathways Curriculum has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor’s degrees awarded by Trinity University.
Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at Trinity and in their post-graduate lives.
Student Opportunities
Learning happens both in and outside the classroom. Michael Neidorff School of Business students can join organizations on-campus or venture off-campus for research and internship opportunities.
Study Abroad
Trinity Study Abroad programs in Europe and Asia include the Japan Summer Program in Kobe, the International Business Summer School in Beijing, and other programs in Vietnam and Cuba, as well as a summer program at Shanghai’s Jiao Tong University.
Experiential Learning
Students gain hands-on experience working with real data sets, completing independent projects, or pursuing internships.
When You Graduate
Students have joined companies—from the Spurs to Whataburger—in their data science and analytics divisions. Students can also pursue graduate level education to further their understanding of data science and enhance technical skills.

The Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Data Science (SDS) provides students with foundational training and marketable skills in statistics and data science.
The Data Science B.S., provides students with in-depth technical knowledge, opportunity to apply that knowledge in a field of their choice, and knowledge of the social and human contexts and ethical ramifications of how data is collected, analyzed, and used.
Data science (DS) is an interdisciplinary field focused on extracting knowledge from large data sets and applying that knowledge to solve problems.
As technology advances and the internet houses more information than ever before, being able to analyze and organize this data has become an important and necessary skill, one that is filled by data scientists and computational mathematicians.
