About Us
Alliance Française is Auckland's French language and cultural centre.We teach French to adults and children at all levels and organise a diverse programme of cultural activities throughout the year.

As a French School
Classes For All Levels
We teach adult group classes, from complete beginners to advanced level, in our main branch in Remuera as well as in Takapuna.
Take Your French Further
As well as regular classes we also have French Conversation Classes and Special Topic Classes so you can take your French further.
Children
We teach French to children using Les Petits Français teaching method, for 2-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-10 years and 11-13 years. Plus, we can respond to community demand for after school French classes based in schools.
Private Tuition
We offer private tuition for individuals, tailored to their particular learning goals at a time, pace and location that suits the student.
Exams
We are an official examination centre for the DELF exams, so you can gain international recognition of your French level.
As a Cultural Centre
We organise events throughout the year to share and celebrate French culture with our Kiwi audience. Our annual, national-wide Alliance Française French Film Festival is a “must go” rendezvous for thousands of Auckland movie buffs, while our Francophonie Week at the Auckland Art Gallery brings French language and culture to the very artistic heart of the city through various entertaining activities and shows.
Our presence in the cultural landscape of Auckland also includes French breakfasts , French/NZ Quiz Nights, our Beaujolais Nouveau evening, French Music Day and so much more.
