In your dental assistant courses, you will learn how to prepare patients for treatment, assist dentists during treatment, process radiographs, perform infection control procedures, maintain patient records, and other general administrative duties.
Additionally, you’ll study environmental health and safety, oral facial science, and other core dentistry subjects.The program provides both comprehensive and intensive education and training leading to a career as a Registered Dental Assistant
Passing The NDAEB Exam
Graduates from the Edmonton South campus have received a 100% passing rate on the National Dental Assisting Examination Board (NDAEB) Written Examination and Clinical Practice Evaluation in May 2024.*
Graduates who successfully complete the Dental Assisting program must also successfully complete the NDAEB exam to be eligible to apply for registration with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants.
