Program Delivery:
Why Keyin
Keyin grads are in demand, so earning your diploma from Keyin will give you an employment advantage. Here are some of the reasons why a program from Keyin College can help jump start your career.
The Keyin Program Advantage
The Keyin Advantage
It is my great pleasure to introduce you to Keyin College, one of Canada’s largest private colleges, with a long-standing commitment to student success. Our contribution to the post-secondary educational field in both Newfoundland and Labrador and nationally is extensive, and our relationship with the industries in which our graduates seek employment is very strong.
Notwithstanding all of this, it is my belief that the true measure of our success lies in the meaningful careers of more than 41,000 graduates since 1980. Today, in virtually every region across our province you will find Keyin graduates who are making a difference in the communities in which they live, and in the industries where they work.
Please take some time to get to know us while browsing through our website or online view book. I encourage you to speak with our team, our students, and graduates, and consult with your families as you make one of the most important decisions of your life: choosing a career path that you will find both enjoyable and rewarding.
We hope to see you soon at a Keyin campus near you!
Sincerely,
Craig Tucker
A Focus on Relationships
At Keyin College, we work closely with our provincial government’s Department of Education to ensure that our curriculums meet or exceed their demanding standards. Our government-approved instructors also bring extensive industry experience to the teaching process, and our close relationships with the industries we support (including the mandatory work terms that our students must complete) ensure that our graduates are well prepared to step in and contribute from day one.
In addition to this, the focus we place on the Keyin student experience helps prepare our graduates to become positive contributors to the workplaces in which they are employed.
Keyin also excels in delivering a community-minded education that is balanced with activities in the local community. These activities are a regular part of our school year, and bring yet another layer of interaction that helps prepare our students for real world success.
Like many new experiences, career training brings its own challenges; adjusting to a new learning environment, establishing positive study habits, managing schedules, balancing home life, and balancing budgets to name a few.
To ensure that every student has the support needed to work comfortably through all of this, Keyin provides the resources of Telus Health through the My Student Support App (MySSP), a recognized national student wellness organization. These resources are available to every student, every day of their training, to help ensure that they can focus on building a better career and a better life for themselves and their families.
In 2020, Keyin College partnered with Enriched Academy to help students develop financial literacy and wealth-building skills. Upon enrolment, every post-secondary will have FREE lifetime access to Enriched Academy’s web-based educational curriculum as part of their orientation and continuing professional development.
Additionally, Keyin developed My Finances 101, a 16-week instructor-led course powered by the Enriched Academy content, to offer students an enhanced experience and mastery of the course content. Students who complete the My Finances 101 course earn a micro-credential in financial literacy from Keyin College; an exceptional credential to add to a resume.
Keyin College was originally established in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1980, with the goal of providing career seekers with the practical skills they would need to succeed and flourish in a competitive job market. Over the ensuing decades, as additional campuses were added to better meet the needs of both urban and rural employers, our graduates became sought after across the province.
Over what has now become four decades of academic excellence, the Keyin model of career training has been time tested and retested to ensure that our graduates continue to meet the needs and expectations of employers in the rapidly evolving work world around us.
Today, with our 43rd anniversary celebration upon us, Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest private college is well prepared to deliver career-focused graduates to the workforce, both in the province and beyond.
Our Dental Assisting program emphasizes patient-centered practices to enhance oral health and well-being.
This course is designed for Level II Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists who want to gain exposure to and assist with intra-oral procedures.
Dental assistants work as part of the oral health team, assisting dentists and dental specialists, carrying out direct patient care and instructing patients in the principles and practices of good oral health.
Here at Cestar College, our Toronto dental assistant program offers two levels of certification under our Dental Assistant Program – Intra-Oral Level I & II.
The Dental Assisting program provides the education required to work as a certified dental assistant (Levels I and II).
