Dental Assisting Level II is designed to provide comprehensive training in the various roles and responsibilities of dental assistants within a modern dental practice.

Our curriculum, in conjunction with a fully functional dental clinic, affords students the invaluable opportunity to gain expertise in all facets of dental practice. It encompasses practice management, chair-side assisting, sterilization, and direct patient care.

Direct Patient Care is carried out in the Keyin College Dental Clinic under the supervision of a licensed dentist and fully qualified instructors.

The curriculum covers all educational requirements to prepare students for writing the National Dental Assisting Examining Board Exam and gain employment prospects throughout Canada.

Upon completing the program, graduates will be equipped to embark on their professional journey as members of a Dental Health Team.

It's imperative to note that Dental Assisting Level II is a profession subject to licensing and regulation under provincial jurisdiction, requiring graduates to adhere to the specific regulations of the province where they intend to seek employment.

Graduates of the program will be prepared to enter employment as a valued member of the Dental Health Team.

Please be aware that attending our St. John's Campus for Level I and Level II Clinical Practicum training is mandatory

Program Delivery:

  • Academic Training: 36 Weeks Online or on Campus
  • Level I Clinical Practicum: 7 Weeks on Site Dental Clinic (Term II)
  • Level II Clinical Practicum: 7 Weeks on Site Dental Clinic (Term IV)
  • Level I Work Term: 7 Weeks (Term III
  • Level II Work Term: 5 Weeks (Term IV)
