The need and dream of establishment of a world class dental institute in the northern India came true when BUDDHA INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES AND HOSPITAL was established in the year 1984. This institute extends the tradition of knowledge that the land of Lord Gautam Buddha has always provided to the rest of the world.

Established and sponsored by “Gautam International Pratisthan” affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar and recognized by Dental Council of India. This institute has grown in leaps and bounds, celebrated its silver jubilee in 2009.

BUDDHA INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES & HOSPITAL is blessed with a brilliant and efficient set of trained and experienced dental professionals in India and abroad.

The institute provides degree of “Bachelor of Dental Surgery” with 100 seats intake per year and post-graduation degree in all nine departments with an intake of 39 seats per year, with the due permission of Government of India and affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar. The institute also provides 2-year diploma courses in Dental Mechanic, Dental Hygienist and Dental Operating Room Assistant (DORA).

The institute is integrated with well qualified post graduate dental professionals in various fields, under graduate students and post graduate trainees to take the complete care and responsibility of daily patient’s care.

BUDDHA INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES & HOSPITAL proudly has finest and technically efficient lab facilities to impart clinically oriented teaching on par with the best.

The clinical lab of conservative department is provided with sophisticated phantom heads The 100 dental work station is available to provide the best treatment to the patients.

The institute is also well equipped with ceramic labs for crown and bridge to gain technical skills in dentistry in both departments of Conservative and Prosthodontics. Department of OMR has the most sophisticated diagnostic aids including CBCT. Besides CBCT, The department has x-ray machines like RVG, OPG, CEPH, IOPA and general x-ray which provides the best insight to the students of the institute.

The institute is well equipped for dental implant facilities in department of prosthodontics, oral surgery and periodontics. The institute is providing free dental implant facility to the poorest communities of the state for the rehabilitation. The institute is also equipped with Lasers in department of Oral medicine and Periodontics.
