Paris Fashion Institute credits are transferable to other college degree programs. There are 28 hours of Creative Workshops, 36 hours of Marketing/?Merchandising, 12 hours of Lectures, 12 hours of Art History, 8 hours of survival French, 24 hours of Fashion Illustration, 54 hours of Design & Product Cycle, totaling 174 hours of class. For students requesting credit transfers, individual dossiers are compiled based on work accomplished and a written evaluation of the student by the teaching staff.

Students are taken beyond the surface glamour and exposed to the day-to-day workings of the industry. From an honest, generous and open vantage point the doors into this exciting and intoxicating world are thrown open to our students, with field trips to venues which reveal a multitude of possibilities pertinent to the industry.
An Established Program
Paris Fashion Institute was established in 1976, utilizing the special opportunities to fully explore the creative process that only Paris offers. It is the only school offering both fashion design and marketing and merchandising disciplines as a joint entity.
Learn how to alter and repair garments, both ready-to-wear and handmade. Students work on their own projects, practicing making alterations for themselves. Students also participate in group discussion and demonstrations, which teach how to think about making alterations and repairs for others.

This class introduces students to the business of fashion from the perspective of an entrepreneur. You will be introduced to the process of starting your fashion design business, and some of the issues and hurdles you will encounter as a fashion entrepreneur starting a fashion collection or brand.
