This course enables students to develop software for embedded systems. They will be exposed to the main techniques of real time and IoT-based programming.
Embedded Systems development requires synthesis of knowledge across the electrical/electronic/computer engineering discipline covering concepts of input/output devices, sensors, algorithms, operating systems, testability, reliability, and more.
Innovations utilizing embedded systems are making our lives more comfortable, simpler, and safer. By 2020, it is forecast that there will be more than 40 billion embedded devices across the globe.
This course enables students to develop software for embedded systems. They will be exposed to the main techniques of real time and IoT-based programming. Specifically, this course provides advanced knowledge and skills in C/C++ language programming and designing an embedded system based on a 32-bit/64-bit processor technology.
The Internet of Things (IOT) encompasses everything that is connected to the internet; it is envisioned to lead to a smarter world, where computers can be embedded anywhere and be programmed to act with or without human intervention.
It has been projected that there will be 100 billion connected IoT devices with a global economic impact of more than $11 trillion by 2025. The Operating System (OS) is one of the most important middleware components that abstracts the underlying hardware and presents a simplified interface to the software application.
In embedded systems such as smartphones, automotive, and avionics, the OS (Operating System) also presents a simplified interface to the multitude of sensors and actuators that these systems interact with.
In this course, the participants will be utilizing an ARM Mbed-enabled board (to be purchased by each participant) and Mbed OS, and they will be introduced to some versatile IoT tools to enable them to develop applications or services for person-to-machine and machine-to-machine monitoring and control.?
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
The Centre for Advanced and Professional Education or CAPE UTP was established in May 2016 to provide flexible post-bachelor degree opportunities by developing sustainable programmes and modules of professional short courses.
CAPE aims to be the sought after partner to the industry by providing a platform for flexible learning to diverse learners and access to the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS’s intellectual resources.
Through the IoT Fundamental Measurement Science training process, the purpose is to provide the participant with a fundamental relevant technologies for building service solutions with a focus on the technologies that can be deployed widely.
IoT and Industrial course is offered by IK Academy. It is our commitment to you that every training by us will be conducted by someone with at least 15 years of industry know-how. Not from books. Not a lecture. Pure Experience.
This course is for SIMATIC S7-1200 PLC users who are involved in installing, developing, and maintaining systems and their application programs which connects to cloud services for digitalization and data analytics. Basic knowledge of automation technology.Â
The HCIA Internet Of Things (IoT) Program is offered by the International College of Management and Sports (ICMS).
IoT/machine-to-machine (M2M) communications is an important growth area both for telcos and for organisations that wish to communicate with or automate operations over a network.
