This course enables students to develop software for embedded systems. They will be exposed to the main techniques of real time and IoT-based programming.
Embedded Systems development requires synthesis of knowledge across the electrical/electronic/computer engineering discipline covering concepts of input/output devices, sensors, algorithms, operating systems, testability, reliability, and more.
Innovations utilizing embedded systems are making our lives more comfortable, simpler, and safer. By 2020, it is forecast that there will be more than 40 billion embedded devices across the globe.
This course enables students to develop software for embedded systems. They will be exposed to the main techniques of real time and IoT-based programming. Specifically, this course provides advanced knowledge and skills in C/C++ language programming and designing an embedded system based on a 32-bit/64-bit processor technology.
The Internet of Things (IOT) encompasses everything that is connected to the internet; it is envisioned to lead to a smarter world, where computers can be embedded anywhere and be programmed to act with or without human intervention.
It has been projected that there will be 100 billion connected IoT devices with a global economic impact of more than $11 trillion by 2025. The Operating System (OS) is one of the most important middleware components that abstracts the underlying hardware and presents a simplified interface to the software application.
In embedded systems such as smartphones, automotive, and avionics, the OS (Operating System) also presents a simplified interface to the multitude of sensors and actuators that these systems interact with.
In this course, the participants will be utilizing an ARM Mbed-enabled board (to be purchased by each participant) and Mbed OS, and they will be introduced to some versatile IoT tools to enable them to develop applications or services for person-to-machine and machine-to-machine monitoring and control.?
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
The Centre for Advanced and Professional Education or CAPE UTP was established in May 2016 to provide flexible post-bachelor degree opportunities by developing sustainable programmes and modules of professional short courses.
CAPE aims to be the sought after partner to the industry by providing a platform for flexible learning to diverse learners and access to the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS’s intellectual resources.
Understanding Industrial 4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT) training is offered by HR ACT. An HRDF Malaysia Registered Training Provider, HR ACT has impacted the SME, local conglomerates and MNCs through innovative training and consulting solutions since 2013.
This practical course teaches viable strategies that focus on how to plan, design, develop, implement, and maintain an IoT system. The module relies on several case studies and the assembly and configuration of an IoT device functioning in a sensor network to explicate these strategies.
IOT using Raspberry Pi course is offered by AA Knowledge Malaysia Sdn Bhd. We fill needs creatively and seek new ways of looking at old problems.  By promoting learning, research, and education, we contribute to the advancement of education and training.
Internet Of Things (IOT) is a word processing program designed for everyday. Having the basic skills to use this program is a minimum requirement for new hires in most businesses.
An IoT cloud is a massive network that supports IoT devices and applications. This includes the underlying infrastructure, servers and storage, needed for real-time operations and processing.
