This awarenes course has been designed to provide delegates with knowledge about diabetes which is a common condition affecting many people in this country.
The aim of this course is to improve the learners understanding of diabetes and assist delegates to understand how the two main types of diabetes present themselves.
They will also learn how to recognise and provide emergency treatment for both hypoglycaemic and hyperglycaemic episodes and raise the learners understanding of the complications of diabetes and how these may be prevented.

Different types of diabetes
Symptoms and predisposing factors
Complications of diabetes
Treatment of the different types of diabetes
The principles and benefits of a healthy diet
Types of medication and monitoring of diabetes
Hyoplygycaemia and it's management
Hyperglycaemia and it's management
Preventative measures
Assessment
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor.
Certification
A certificate of attendance from MEDISAFE TRAINING will be emailed within 48 hours to the lead person subject to successful completion of the course by the delegate. Hard copy certificates can be provided at additional cost per certificate
