Our Diabetes Education Program is designed for health care professionals who wish to increase their knowledge and skills in diabetes education and care.
The courses in this program place a particular focus on how to provide diabetes education to diverse populations living with pre-diabetes or diabetes.
They reflect the current competencies of the Canadian Diabetes Educator Certification Board (CDECB) and are intended for those preparing for the CDECB exam.

Sherbourne’s Diabetes Education Program comprises a Diabetes Nurse Educator and Registered Dietitian, who offer education for the prevention and management of diabetes.

Our Certified Diabetes Educator, Marian Attia, has a sound knowledge base in diabetes care/management and can teach you about self-management and controlling your diabetes.
The Diabetes Program offers patients education and counselling to help you manage your diabetes and prevent complications.
This course provides many of the theoretical and practical aspects of diabetes management needed in providing comprehensive diabetes care.
