This workshop is designed as a brief overview of diabetes. It will entail the medical, social and psychological aspects of not only living with the disease, but also helping someone who is.
Specific content will cover the diagnosis, complications and treatment as well as the lifestyle changes that a diabetic will incur. Life style changes will include nutrition management, exercise education and additional aspects of daily living.
This course is specifically designed for the general public as well as students of any health care profession as a means to provide accurate educational information about the disease.
