Weekly lectures teach classical techniques for developing well-structured and fluid animations that can be applied to traditional frame-by-frame, hand-drawn, and FX.
All the courses are designed for students to be able to finish their courses in 7 classes.
Notes
• A computer and a graphic tablet with a compatible stylus pen OR an iPad with a compatible stylus pen required for taking online classes.
• Adobe Animate app for computer OR Procreate app for iPad required for taking online courses.
Curriculum
Utilizing Photoshop and Toon Boom Studio software, the 2D animation class introduces students to the principles of animation and basic storyboarding.
This course provides in-depth lectures on several animation techniques, including key framing, staging, and walk cycles. Students will eventually learn to animate a bouncing ball and pillow using what they’ve learned.
