This course offers an opportunity to gain some of the necessary skills required to work in the media industry. You will use software packages such as Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office and Photoshop.
Learn by doing work based projects where you are required to research, plan and present a ‘live’ project.
On the course you will study subjects such as ‘Exploring Digital Photography’, ‘Developing Video Products’ and ‘Developing Animation’ to improve your knowledge and professionalism in various areas of the media.
In addition to the main qualification you will also be expected to study Functional Skills in Maths and English.You will be expected to spend approximately 15 hours each week studying in College.

What Happens Next?
This course is designed to introduce you to the knowledge and skills required to work in the Creative Media Industry, and to develop the necessary personal skills needed to progress to Media courses at Level 2 or straight into employment.
How will I be Assessed?
Over the duration of your course you will study 10 units. All of the units are coursework based and are assessed by our teaching staff using a range of assessment methods such as presentations, projects and assignments.
Course Costs
Students 16-18 year olds will not have to pay tuition fees, awarding body registration or exam fees.
Please note: You may be entitled to a Bursary payment to help with costs such as travel to College, trips and equipment, a food allowance and childcare.
