This programme will give you the key knowledge required to work competently in your chosen field and allow you to advance further into specialised fields within New Zealand's healthcare industry.

Upon completing this programme, you will be work ready and able to apply your technical skillset in palliative and aged care, rehabilitation, health promotion and primary health care. As part of this programme, you will undergo 160 hours of work placement in an aged care facility.

Pathways

Upon graduation you can get a career working in rest homes and geriatric services, in palliative care, as a community healthcare worker, in healthcare education or in nursing based roles.

This diploma can also lead to postgraduate studies including a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health, Health Science or Health Management.
