To encourage the practice and science of Fire Safety Engineering - FIRE prevention and Fire Protection along with security management & industrial safety and all operations & expedients connected therewith through education.

Also to give an impulse to ideas likely to be useful in connection with or in relation to such science and practice to the students of the Institution and to the community at large to maintain the safe environment, fulfilling the fire safety objectives of life safety, property protection and continuity of operations, environmental protection and also heritage conservation.
