Tourism is currently the world’s Fastest Growing industry. In 2002, receipts from international tourism world-wide amounted to US$ 476 billion, generated by 698 million international’s tourists. (Source : World tourism Organisation).

In 2002, Malaysia receipts from international tourism totalled RM 25.8billion generated by 13.3 million international tourists. (Source : Tourism Malaysia) The World Tourism Organisation (WTO) forecasts that international arrivals worldwide will top 1 billion by 2010 generating US$ 1,550 billion in tourist receipts. The tourism industry is currently the first, second and third largest jobs provider in many developed and developing countries including Malaysia.
