Community services are any jobs that involve completing work that directly gives back or helps the community. A community service worker provides personal, social, physical, emotional, mental and political services to disadvantaged groups and individual within communities.

The CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services equips students with the practical skills and specialised knowledge to positively impact social support, housing, child protection services, and a variety of other community-based settings.

 The CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services equips students with the practical skills and specialised knowledge to positively impact social support, housing, child protection services, and a variety of other community-based settings. In this course, students will learn skills to be able to advise, support and help various groups and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds and circumstances. This includes knowing how to assess clients’ needs and direct them to appropriate services.  

This Diploma Community Services qualification requires 100 Hours of work placement in an appropriate organisation. TrainSmart Australia will assist you to identify a suitable organisation or you may nominate an organisation of your choice.
