  • The Diploma of Event Management will provide you with a range of events administration and operational skills, knowledge of event industry operations, sound knowledge of event management processes and a broad range of skills to coordinate event operations.
  • You will gain the confidence to work with some independence using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities. You will also be equipped to work independently and make operational event management decisions.
  • Events are diverse in nature and this qualification provides a pathway to work in events in a range of industries including tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural, and community sectors

  • You'll be able to access your personal timetable (find out how on our Timetables page), once you have paid your fees. In the meantime the information below provides an indication of the time commitment required to complete this course, depending on available study options.

Attendance in class

  • This course requires your attendance in class for 4 days per week when studied full time.  
  • ​Classes are generally timetabled Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • You will be required to take part in practical assessments which may take place in the evening or on a weekend at events organised by your lecturer. Further detail will be provided to you during orientation.

At-home study

  • As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete additional study each week outside of scheduled classes, including private study, assignment preparation, and research.
