The course will teach you the skills needed to be a supervisor, manager or department head within your establishment.

Study Pathways

Direct entry to SIT60316 – Advanced Diploma of Hospitality, course credit up to 1 year with our university partners in Australia

 

Delivery Mode

Classroom based face-to-face, work placement, self-directed and/or work-based training.

 

International Students Requirements:

  • Personal computer capable of being connected to the internet using a Wi-Fi connection
  • Personal email address
  • Mobile phone
  • Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Microphone and camera compatible or inclusive within personal computer
  • home access to the internet, with good speed to be able to do conference video calls
  • Zoom software installed
  • Full hospitality uniforms - one for café and another for functions (included in material fee)

 

Special Requirement:

  • The qualification will include 36 shifts (Complete service periods), equivalent to approximately 144 hours, to be undertaken in college in-house functions, training café and/or approved workplace.

 

Academic Entry Requirement:

  • Be, at least, 18 years of age and satisfactory completion of year 12 or equivalent schooling OR Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Level 4.

  • Participate in a suitability interview for your chosen qualification.

 

RPL and Credit Transfer:

  • Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer can be requested for this qualification.

 

English Entry Requirement:

  • IELTS 5.5 overall with each band 5 or above, or equivalent.

  • Qualifications recognised by Alliance College as equivalent to an IELTS 5.5 overall score upon completion are as published below
