The name Country Dawn was chosen partly for my love of all things 'country', but mostly in memory of our much-loved Mum, Dawn - a very talented and versatile lady who died of cancer in 1996 at 59 years of age.
While sadly leaving behind many unfinished quilt projects, happily she passed on her love of fabric, colour and attention to detail, among many other things.
This class is designed for those who want help learning or reinforcing the basic beginner steps of sewing. It is perfect for any level of beginner, including those who have never touched a machine before!

This class is currently only offered as a private sewing class (on day/time to suit you, dependent on time availability). Â It includes how to pad a form/dressmakers dummy to your desired size and then how to make a basic pattern from draping fabric on the form to make a simple bodice or skirt.
