This course demonstrates the necessity for you to be aware of hazards and know how you should deal with them. You will also cover material on the Highway Code, vocational licences, aerodynamics, health & safety on the road and driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or fatigue.

Safe Loading of a Goods Vehicle

Our trainers will help you understand the best practices in the safe loading of goods vehicles. The course will look at the legal requirements of safe loading, the consequences and penalties of unsecured loads and the importance of weight and load distribution.

Compliance in Action

This 7-hour module provides candidates with a working knowledge of the legislation and legal framework concerning the industry of road transport. The second half of the course presents a case study involving a number of incidents which require the application of compliance knowledge and serves as a ‘refresher’ on some key topics.

Defect Reporting

During this course, our trainers will ensure students have a good working knowledge of defect reporting and daily vehicle checks. You will cover daily walk-round check requirements, nil-defect reporting, graduated fixed penalties and the relevant documentation that is required.

Highway Code & Vulnerable Road Users

This course addresses some hot topics in the transport industry just now, particularly cyclist safety and how to increase your awareness of risks and causes of accidents on the road. This module also helps refresh the rules of the road with quizzes and puzzles to test your knowledge.
