Driving for Work (Reducing Road Related Risks)

Anyone who drives a company vehicle and would benefit from being more aware of sharing the road safely with cyclists. Learn to understand cyclists road positioning approaches, know the legislation about cycle lanes, advanced stop lines and overtaking requirements.

What the course covers

• A 3 hour practical session going out on bikes and having a "boot on the other foot" experience of what it is like to be a cyclist on our busy road.

• Our fully qualified National Cycle Instructors will take drivers on a controlled guided cycle experience so that company car and van drivers can experience what it is like as a cyclist and appreciate why cyclists use road positioning techniques to protect them from "frustated" other road users.

• The session includes Observation and Discussion stop points along the route so that drivers get a birds eye view of all road user behaviours.

Course Duration:

• 3 hours

Course Cost:

• £450 for a group of up to 6 Drivers - within a 30 mile radius of Leicester

• £650 for a group of up to 12 Drivers - within a 30 mile radius of Leicester

• We provide a nationwide service so please contact us for prices for outside of 30 miles, or for large groups of drivers where we can provide discount.

What is Included:

• We provide all the equipment of bikes, helmets and hi viz jackets.

• We will carry out a risk assessment of the route, if we are delivering from your own premises.

• Our trainers are National Cycle Instructor qualified.

Venue:

• We deliver this training from our own site in Leicester on pre-planned and risk assessed routes, but we can also deliver this training from your own premises as well.
