If you wish to learn favourite rock beat’s and fill’s, or work through exam syllabus in preparation for a career in music, Phillip can provide the perfect environment for you to gain the knowledge and understanding needed to accelerate your learning. Private lessons are conducted from the Historic Watch House studio Rokeby, and facilitate a broad range of musical styles including Rock, Pop, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Afro, Cuban, Reggae, Rudimental and New Orleans.
Lessons are geared toward a thorough understanding of stick control, 4 way coordination, and beginner to advanced reading skills. Favourite songs and play along tracks are used to strengthen the students accuracy speed and endurance.
Musicianship is also incorporated into each lesson to broaden the students understanding of notation, signs and symbols to enhance their musical experience and increase confidence. Each lesson offers the opportunity to progress at your own unique pace and partake in the weekly homework activities.
We are a dynamic, performance music school based in Southern Tasmania. We teach drumming, musicianship piano and performance skills. Our curriculum encourages students to challenge their abilities and go beyond individual musical boundaries.
Training sessions are provided in a manner geared toward the practical understanding of rhythm movement and musicianship. Our classes provide the opportunity for students to join one of the performance drumcorps.
Acoustic Drums classes are offered by Waves Music Co. Fill in teachers are arranged if a teacher is unwell or unavailable. Lessons are conducted online via zoom in the event of a statewide lockdown.

Percussion Lesson is offered by Intuition Music School. Music lessons at Intuition Music School are structured using a holistic approach that incorporates practical, theory, live performance, and inspiration from our monthly live concerts in our own private venue.
With steady beat as the foundation, your 5 or 6 year old will uncover more about music as we build upon existing skills with more complex use of pitched instruments such as glockenspiels and xylophones.
