Semester I September 7 – December 2023: ELCC 1002 Introduction to Early Learning and Child Care
This course focuses on understanding the goals and essential components of developing successful early childhood programs.

Admission Requirements: Completed Grade 10 English and Grade 10 Social
Semester II February 7 – May 30, 2024: ELCC 1007 Literacy
This introductory course will provide students with an understanding of early literacy. Students will learn strategies that can be used to develop a child's interest and skills related to listening, speaking, reading, and writing that form the foundation of a language arts curriculum.
Students will also explore the effective use of children's literature, storytelling, puppetry, and dramatic play and the importance of cultural considerations and individual differences.

?TH TEFL is a CELTA-equivalent certificate, with the same number of practical teaching hours, and slightly more contact hours overall, developed in-house by Teaching House trainers.
This program is designed for group registration of international students or teachers who wish to receive in-class TESOL training in Vancouver, Canada (2 weeks) blended with online TESOL training (60 hours), and receive certification from ATC to teach English abroad.
This training program allows graduates to be able to observe, detect and develop techniques and skills that meet the special needs of children in a childcare setting in order to promote their inclusion.
