This inspirational introductory programme is for anyone interested in launching a successful career in the early years sector. You will gain insight into working with children, the physical and emotional care needs of children, healthy eating and keeping children safe.
Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs grade 2 and above including either Mathematics or English. As you will be working with children, you will need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Structure
On this course you will study:
• Physical and emotional care needs of children • Physical activities• Healthy eating• Keeping children safe The course programme also looks to support and enhance employability skills. You will also have the opportunity to undertake work experience in early years settings.
Teaching & Learning
The course includes a mixture of written and practical work including group discussion, individual and group research and tutorials.
Assessment
Academic work is assessed through an ongoing assignment-based format that includes group discussions, individual and group research, group activities and tutorials.
