Course Objectives
By the end of the course, the learners must be able to:
describe the anatomy and physiology of the heart
describe the normal ECG tracing
perform basic ECG machine operation and lead corrections

This course aims to provide the nurses with the basic skills and knowledge in ECG monitoring, ECG rhythm interpretation, performing 12 lead ECG & monitoring patients on ambulatory monitoring (Telemetry).
This course equips the participants with knowledge and skills in; basic functions the heart, principles of ECG operation, checking the ECG strips for errors in recording. Recognition of normal ECG wave vs. arrhythmia and AMI.
