Level 2: T Level Foundation Year
The T Level foundation year in Education and Early course is designed for those that are looking to progress on to a T Level programme but do not yet meet the entry requirements.
Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above (including English Language and Maths), plus two additional GCSEs at grade 3 or above. If you don’t have a grade 4 in English and Maths, you will be required to study for this alongside your course.

Level 3: T Level
This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in early years education, childcare or assisting teaching.
Entry Requirements: A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4, including both English and Maths. You will also need a Disclosure and Barring Service check when you start the course. Students may find it helpful if they have already studied at Level 2.
Assessment: The course is assessed through 2 written examinations and an Employer set project – a supervised project, devised and set by NCFE.

In addition to the core content, each student must choose one of the following specialisms:

Students are required to take part in a substantial industry placement that runs for a minimum of 315 hours (45 days) overall and will therefore give students practical insights into their sector and an opportunity to embed the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.
Progression
This technical qualification will support students onto a range of progression routes including employment, higher education and higher apprenticeships.

Brooklands College opened in 1951 (formerly Brooklands Technical College) and has grown steadily over the years, building on the college’s established expertise and developing our provision to meet the constantly changing demands of the local, regional and national economies.
In 2016 we opened our Ashford Campus to focus on a selection of full-time courses, as well as offering part-time courses in ESOL, Computing and English and Maths skills for adults.
The college has been awarded ‘Good’ by Ofsted following the recent December 2023 inspection, highlighting the many areas of strength including how “learners benefit from a calm and studious environment in which they learn well”. The vast majority of the classroom based learning takes place on the main campus at Weybridge with over 1,600 students engaged in study programmes. In addition the College provides a good range of programmes for adults and Higher Education provision in partnership with Oxford Brooks University and Kingston University.

This Qualification has a total of 80 guided learning hours. It is assessed via coursework and internal assessments which assess skills and knowledge.
