This qualification is also suitable for those who just started a teaching role, and include Award-size qualifications for those who want a short qualification to enable them to make career choices.

Course description & subjects covered

This course is designed as an introduction to teaching. It provides an insight into the roles, responsibilities, relationships and covers the knowledge and skills required.

Through this course, you will cover the following subjects:

• To plan and deliver an inclusive teaching/training session

• To assess and provide constructive feedback

• To categorise effective assessment techniques

Assessment

This course is assessed through assignments, micro teaching sessions and observations.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. However, candidates must be considering the subject/skill for delivery. They should also have experience and achieved/aiming to achieve a qualification at the appropriate level in the area they will teach/train. Candidates also need a good level of written and spoken English, to read, write and interpret assignments.
