Effective communication is a two-way street where the message that is sent should be meaningful enough to be understood by the other party, and the receiver should also be capable enough to understand the message.

More than just the letters and words, effective communication comprises a set of abilities that combines nonverbal communication, engaged listening, managing stress at the moment, the ability to communicate assertively, and the capacity to recognize and understand your own emotions and those of the person you’re communicating with.
