Training Overview
Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act requires that workplaces be inspected monthly by health and safety representatives and designated members of the joint health and safety committees.
Supervisors and employers are encouraged to participate in the workplace inspection process as part of their due diligence in doing everything reasonable to protect workers.
This training course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and tools to complete effective workplace, pre-use inspections.
When an inspection is completed following the 5-Step inspection process, hazards are recognized and existing health and safety policies, procedures, and hazard controls are checked to ensure they are working.
This course helps you to meet your legal requirements and improve your ability to effectively inspect your workplace. In addition to the training, one of our consultants with deep expertise in Ontario Occupational Health & Safety will:
Provide you with a Health & Safety procedure for workplace inspection
Perform a workplace inspection using a personalized workplace inspection checklist for the spaces assessed and will provide you with a report about the findings.
