EKG Enhancement Course is a 30-hour course for Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), and Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA). The course is designed to improve and teach the students the proper methods of conducting EKG exams and interpretation.
It is designed to provide physicians and healthcare professionals with training in recognizing and managing cardiovascular emergencies, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrest, along with EKG interpretation.
This program teaches students to become EKG/Cardiovascular technicians who can work in a variety of healthcare facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and physicians’ offices.
EKG technicians work in physician’s offices, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities and organizations. EKG technicians also work for insurance companies to provide data for health and life insurance policies.
The CTC Program was developed in 2004 as a community service to provide a structured educational program for those interested in learning the science of electrocardiographic recording techniques
