Associated with Rock and Roll, electric guitar lessons are very popular, and can be a rewarding and meaningful development in your musical journey. Whether your interest in Classical, Jazz, Pop or Scottish Folk Music we cater for it all.

Many of our students learn for enjoyment, although we o?er educational options such as completing ABRSM exams, school exams or preparing for concerts. The electric guitar is a great and serious way to develop your musical skills.

Our electric guitar tutors are very highly recommended due to their extensive training, years of teaching and performing experience - their ability to form a fantastic teaching bond with students of all ages and experience shows their excellent teaching methods.

  • Esther is a classically trained pianist, cellist and harpist and took up playing the guitar when she was a teenager. She has experience in solo performance, competitions, playing the cello in orchestras and small ensembles, accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists on the piano and harp, as well as freelance harp playing at weddings and events. Esther originally completed a degree in Modern Languages but pursued musical opportunities whenever possible and completed her Bachelor of Music in 2021 at the University of Glasgow with first-class honours. Choral singing is something Esther is very passionate about, having sung with Sydney Philharmonia choirs, Edinburgh Royal Choral Union, The Russian Choir of Edinburgh, and now the University of Glasgow Chapel Choir where she is still a member. This has provided her with valuable musicianship and experience. Esther believes that everyone has their own unique way of learning and wishes to honour that to ensure that pupils are able to build their confidence and experience the joy of playing music.

Pupils may start on acoustic or classical guitar from year 3. Guitars can be purchased from retailers in different sizes as most appropriate to the child. Pupils may also receive lessons on electric guitar and bass guitar normally after learning the acoustic / classical guitar for some time.
