This certificate has 224 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). All units must be completed. Knowledge learning outcomes have on-screen exams and a centre-marked assignment. Performance learning outcomes are assessed in centre (using occupational evidence and/or simulated assessment).

Unit ELTD3/02:
Understand and apply environmental legislation, working practices and the principles of environmental technology systems associated with Electrical Installations in Residential premises GLH 35
Unit ELTD3/03:
Understand and apply the practices and procedures for overseeing and organising the work environment when installing electrical installations in residential premises GLH 25
Unit ELTD3/04:
Understanding and applying the principles, practices and procedures for the planning, preparation and selection of wiring systems and electrotechnical equipment in residential premises GLH 25
Unit ELTD3/05:
Understand and apply the practices and procedures for the installation and connection of wiring systems and electrotechnical equipment in residential premises GLH 25
Unit ELTD3/6.1:
Understand and apply the principles, practices and legislation for the inspection, testing, commissioning, approving and certification of electrical installations in residential premises GLH 40
Unit ELTD3/07:
Understand and apply the principles, practices and legislation for diagnosing and correcting electrical faults in electrical installations in residential premises GLH 35
Unit ELTD3/OCU:

Prerequisite
Trainees must have the maturity and potential ability to meet the requirements of the assessment criteria for each learning outcome of the qualification units.
Trainees must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes and the external assessment.
