Course Details

Electrical installations are used in industries, shopping malls, office as well as domestic premises, etc. They are subject to compliance with the Electricity Act etc. relevant Regulations and Code of Practice, inter alia.

It is vital that practitioners, operators, and owners of these installations, especially those willing to be a LEW, have the necessary knowledge of the laws and design principles of the installations so that appropriate preventive measures can be instituted at the design stage to avoid future unnecessary electrical accidents.

The purpose of this course is to provide, strengthen and deepen them with the understanding of the regulatory requirements and installation design principles etc. 

 

Objective: 

This half-day course covers regulatory requirements, testing methods, design principles and compliance of electrical installations. There will be break between sessions, allow Q and A, Continuous assessment in the form of random quizzes, activities to re-call and re-instate what have been taught in class will be carried out to enhance the learning process e.g., reflective practices and social learning etc.
