Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:

  • Trainees learn the basic safety fundamentals of working with electricity, including regulations, common hazards and safe work practices.

 

Topics Include:

  • This 1-day Electrical Safety Training Systems Course is offered in-class. Participants learn relevant Provincial and Federal electrical safety regulations, the uses of electricity in the workplace, and how to effectively manage risk and control hazards by following correct procedures.

  • The course also covers electrical-specific PPE, emergency response procedures and incident reporting. In addition, trainees conduct personalized risk assessments to determine their own susceptibility to electrical injury. Trainees must pass a written exam to obtain the certificate.
