The aim of the course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to understand Electrocardiography (ECG) and its interpretation, the necessary skills and care given to all patients both young and older adults in an accident & emergency care unit, and intensive care units.
ECG Interpretation Workshop
The Electrocardiograph (ECG) Interpretation Workshop is designed to provide learners with the underpinning concepts to explore the care given in an emergency care setting to patients and in order to develop participant’s knowledge and skills in the accident and emergency care to the adult patients under this operation in the healthcare setting.
The qualification is ideal for new starters and experienced staff requiring a refresher alike and is designed for the health and social care sectors including private and government hospitals , nurses, healthcare assistants , doctor’s surgeries etc.
The qualification has been designed to incorporate the guidance and best practices of Electrocardiograph Interpretation from NICE guidelines and other government guidance

The Qualsafe Level 4 Award in Immediate Life Support (RQF) course is an advanced training program designed for healthcare professionals and individuals working in high-risk environments.
A Short Course normally comprises 3 modules, which you can complete in one year as a part time course of study. On successful completion you will be awarded 60 CATs points at Level 3, and you may be eligible to progress onto our degree programmes.
The Cardiology training in Scotland West has access to all modules for Cardiology. The training is provided in DGHs in and out with Glasgow, in Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and Forth Valley. The Tertiary centre is Golden Jubilee National Hospital (GJNH).
