Description

This High-Risk Work combined EWP course covers both over 11 meters & under 11 meters safe operation of an Elevated Work Platform & Scissor Lift.

The HRW TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform Boom Length 11 meters or more course alone, does not cover the operation of a scissor lift, therefore this combined course is ideal if you require competencies to operate both, a scissor lift & EWP.

The units of competency that make up this combined course are:

  • HRW WP - TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom type elevating work platform, boom length 11 meters or more
  • RIIHAN301E - Operate elevating work platform (under 11 meters)

 

Licence & Assessment Information

This course is based on the requirements of the National Standards for Licencing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

  • Day One of the course will be a combination of knowledge, calculations & practical training where participants will be required to demonstrate industry skills & knowledge described in the units of competency included in this course
  • At the end of day one, an RTO assessment will be conducted, this assessment will identify if the participant requires further training or if the participant is competent to undergo the SafeWork NSW assessment.
  • Day Two of the course, The SafeWork NSW assessment will be conducted. To pass the assessment, all critical components must be demonstrated and answered correctly

On successful completion of the SafeWork NSW assessment, participants will be given a:

  • Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom type elevating work platform, boom length 11 meters or more
  • A SafeWork NSW licence to perform high risk work application form, to be lodged at Australia Post within 60 days of the completion of the assessment
  • RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform (under 11 meters) wallet card & Statement of Attainment, recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under the authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011

 

Prerequisites

To undertake this High Risk Work course participants will need:

  • To be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • To demonstrate the ability to speak and write English to a basic level & have basic numeracy skills
  • To be able to speak English well enough to carry out high risk work safely with other people
  • SafeWork NSW requires high risk work licence assessment candidates to provide a minimum of 100 points of original evidence of identity documents. The link below outlines the acceptable evidence of identity and points value:
  • To inform IWP's administration team if you are an accredited SafeWork NSW licenced assessor, you will not be eligible to undertake a high risk work course until an exemption is granted by SafeWork NSW
  • Your high risk work licence must be issued by the state or territory you usually live in, therefore if you are from interstate and do not have a NSW residential address listed on your identification you will not be eligible to undertake a high risk work course until an exemption is granted by SafeWork NSW. To allow for adequate time for the exemption to be granted, please inform IWP if you are not a NSW resident before registering for the course
