This course is supportive to you from the outset, content as well as setting you up to progress onto one of our Level 2 Fashion & Textiles courses.
On this course you will be shown how to be experimental and developmental with your creativity in context to Embroidery & Garment Construction. You will be supported by a team of industry professionals with lots of experience in the fields of Embroidery & Garment Construction.
What Areas Will I Study?
Throughout the duration of the course, you will go on trips to local and regional exhibitions to support the development of your work. You will take part in live competitions and work experiences with local employers to gain experience into how your chosen subject looks in context to the world of work.

This How to Develop Embroidery Skills for Fashion course is ideal for those with an interest in design and fabric manipulation. It will allow beginners with little or no experience to try out a variety of textile techniques for surface design and embellishment.
This afternoon class explains how to drop the feed dogs on your machine and then work within a frame to create your own designs. We will also look at working with an embroidery foot.
Embroidery workshop is offered by Becca Buttons for all skill level.
You will create your own design, framed in a display hoop. All materials are included in the workshop price. Our experienced tutor Helen will be able to provide lots of ideas, patterns and inspiration.
Using a variety of natural or delicately hand-dyed Nottingham Lace trims, you can create your own wall hanging or accessory from these beautiful materials. Learn how to add embellishments through beadwork and embroidery too.
