What you will learn?
The content of this course provides basic lifesaving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:
The role of the first aider
Fainting
Managing an emergency
Health and safety (first aid) regulations
Communication and casualty care
Resuscitation (adult CPR)
Bleeding (minor and severe)
Seizures (adult)
Burns
Shock
Choking (adult)
Unconscious casualty
Assessment
Written assessment and continuous observation by the trainer.
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a certificate which is valid for three years.
The group was initially formed in 1968 and was known as the Luton and District Construction Training Group. However, to better reflect the geographical locations of the members, the name was changed in the 1980’s to the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Construction Group.
