The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competence needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.
Course Content:
Edinburgh & District Employers’ Training Association Limited was set up in 1966 and was located at Dock Street, Leith. EDETA as it became known, then moved to Kinnaird Park in January 2002. It is a Limited Company with charitable status under the Companies Acts, 1948 to 1967.
The First Aid at Work (statutory) course complies with the current updated Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive FAIB Approved certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.
This 1 day training course is a fantastic addition to any CV and will enhance work opportunities, it enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work or in the home.
