The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to attain the knowledge and competence needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of the first aider.
Course Content:
Edinburgh & District Employers’ Training Association Limited was set up in 1966 and was located at Dock Street, Leith. EDETA as it became known, then moved to Kinnaird Park in January 2002. It is a Limited Company with charitable status under the Companies Acts, 1948 to 1967.
The First Aid at Work course gives First Aiders the essential knowledge and skills that they need to carry out their role and deal confidently with major and minor injuries and illnesses. It is suitable for any person who has been designated as a First Aider at work.
The Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) & (RQF) & Emergency First Aid at Work for Forestry Workers Level 3 (VTQ) blended & classroom courses are an ideal course for those businesses that have identified through their risk assessment.
?The content of the course has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement.
Candidates successfully completing this course will be entitled to act as a first-aider in the workplace. This First aid at Work course includes the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to an extensive range of specific injuries and illnesses.
Ideal for the workplace for appointed persons or emergency first aiders wherever the individual is employed in low risk environments or you are supporting other first aiders.
