This ninety (90) minute class is designed to teach both immediate responders and civilians what actions they can take to control hemorrhagic bleeding.
In response to active shooter and mass casualty events, the American College of Surgeons created a committee to create a protocol that would enhance survivability from these events. They concluded that uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma.
This ninety (90) minute class is designed to teach both immediate responders and civilians what actions they can take to control hemorrhagic bleeding.
This class will consist of both lecture and hands-on exercise. Trainees will practice using each item in their bleeding control kit.
