Description
Much has been discovered in the past 30 years on Emotional Intelligence and countless studies show its incredible role in an individual’s success. It has been shown that, Emotional Intelligence or EI, can be even more critical than the power of the cognitive brain usually measured with IQ.
In others words, if you want to succeed, you would be much better off working on your soft skills, empathy, communication skills, understanding others and so on than to become better only at a specific technical skill. Consider the following selection of quotes and studies:
Introduction to EI
What is EI?
What constitutes the EI framework?
What are EI competencies?
Self-Awareness
What is emotion?
Why are we emotional?
How does “Emotional Hijacking” take place?
How does the brain process emotions?
How does the brain perceive the world?
Self-Management
How to take advantage of the power of optimism
How to manage your anger effectively
How to control your worry
Self-Motivation
How to motivate yourself
How to avoid apathy
How to be creative
Empathy
How to have empathic communication with others
What is the physiology of empathic communication?
How to have effective group interactions
How to listen positively
What are the “Negative Listening Types”?
How to raise your social awareness through listening
Relationship Management
What are the “Six Human Needs”?
How to recognise others’ needs and desires
How to categorise people based on their needs to make useful conclusions on follow up actions

Our History
Skills Converged was founded in 2008 by Dr Ethan (Ehsan) Honary. With a background in artificial intelligence and space robotics, Ethan became increasingly interested in cognitive psychology, science of learning and eventually the training industry.
His interest and passion in the subject grew strong enough that he eventually decided to leave his full-time job in the space industry to establish a new training company.
Now for more than a decade, Skills Converged has been offering quality training products and services all across the world and has acquired numerous clients including global brands, governments, training agencies and freelancers.
With a background in technology, educational psychology and research, Skills Converged is uniquely positioned to produce state-of-the-art products which none of our competitors can match.
Based in London, we are right at the heart of the training industry in the United Kingdom. We regularly run training courses in London, our most popular one being Train the Trainer course.
We constantly analyse and receive feedback from the training community which allows us to improve the quality of our products rapidly and use this knowledge in the design of our future courses.
This is a continuous process, but one that we love to pursue and that it helps us produce unrivalled products.
The Pillars of Our Design Methodology
We use the following design principles:
Must Lead to Long Term Learning
A training course, delivered in whatever form, is not worth the time or money if attendees are not going to learn or remember the content for long. They might as well not attend.
In the last three decades, we have come a long way in understanding the role of long-term memory in cognition and subsequently in learning and training. We are enthusiastic about these developments and insights and use them throughout our entire design process.
Must Maximise Training Per Unit of Time
Time is a scarce resource. We use accelerated learning principles, experimental learning, knowledge-based learning, participatory learning, and a host of other techniques in the design of our training materials to make sure we can achieve maximum results in the shortest amount of time on any given topic.
Must Be Easy to Use
As a subject matter expert, you know the content well. When it comes to training, most of your focus, as much as 90%, should be on the training activity rather than figuring out what to teach.
We are aware of this principle and work hard to design training materials that are easy to pick up, understand and deliver. With well-designed content, you spend less time figuring out what to cover and more time on how to meet your delegates’ specific training needs. We always aim to save you time.
Today's most effective and successful oganisational leaders have a high level of emotional intelligence, also referred to as Emotional Quotient (EQ).
Emotional Intelligence training is offered by Insight Training. All our programmes are tailored specifically to the client’s needs and combine the topics most relevant to their people.
Emotionally intelligent management embraces and draws from numerous other branches of behavioural, emotional and communications strategies to develop more productive and successful leaders.
