Through language lab classes, workshops, and lecture classes, students will become comfortable speaking about relatively simple topics with classmates, teachers, and native English speakers.
English learners at the intermediate level will build on their existing language skills and focus on more accurately expressing their meaning in writing and conversation. Students with placement exam scores of 50-80.99 are placed in Intermediate ESL.
Students within advanced level studies will learn more technical vocabulary to be able to discuss complex topics. Graduates of Advanced ESL will be able to speak knowledgeably on a wide range of subjects. Students with placement exam scores of 81-99.99 are placed in Advanced ESL.

The ESL Academy partners with institutions to offer ESL courses on their sites and to provide students with the best and most convenient options to reach their goals. Classrooms comfortably accommodate 20 – 30 students and are equipped with computers, high-speed Internet access, and LCD projectors to facilitate a productive learning environment.
Most of the ESL Academy’s partner institutions have campuses only minutes away from a variety of major recreational and food establishments, and are located in areas near public transportation and major highways.
Our lessons are designed to not only provide students with the skills to successfully pass the test, but we also provide the students with the skills to continue learning in an academic English-only setting.
The Test Preparation Program focuses its coursework on introducing and refining the specific skills students need to prepare for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
The ESL program at AELS includes English conversation (speaking and listening), writing and grammar, and reading. Students will improve their skills.
Learn important language skills and test-taking strategies for success on the TOEFL Exam. Special emphasis all four skills, specifically listening comprehension, grammar, reading comprehension, and ability to communicate clearly through speech and writing.
