Manawatu Multicultural Council (MMC) is a recognised and established charitable organisation which has been operating within Palmerston North for over 30 years providing an essential point of contact for new migrants, refugees and newcomers to the City.
The Council operates as a coordinating body for the many different ethnic and cultural groups and operates to provide information, resources and activities providing opportunities to get information on all aspects of New Zealand life and facilitating the forming of social connections.
We offer a short 40 hour IELTS exam preparation course, available to domestic and international students.
The full-time course includes more reading and writing as well as a range of options such as Grammar, Preparation for IELTS, English for Business, Vocabulary and Conversation. You can change your option regularly.
This course focuses on common language interaction in business, such as telephoning, writing business letters, meetings, and giving presentations. There is a strong focus on spoken skills and grammar, as well as an emphasis on formal writing and business-related vocabulary.
If you are planning to go on to further study in New Zealand after your English course, we strongly recommend our English for University course combined with IELTS preparation.
