Portland Adult Education is pleased to welcome new instructors and course ideas to our Enrichment Program. If you have specific teaching skills, interests, hobbies, or expertise that you would like to share with the community, PAE would be delighted to have you submit a course proposal.
Portland Adult Education offers a variety courses each term in three program areas: Academic, Vocational, and Enrichment. Our classes are offered in three semesters: fall, winter, and spring/summer.
Our brochure reaches over 40,000 people and we serve over 6,000 adult students annually. Courses may consist of a one-day workshop or up to 12 weeks of instruction. We work in partnership with several area businesses and organizations and hold our classes at several different locations throughout Portland.
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized academic test, where the English proficiency of non-native speakers is checked.
Everyday Conversation class is offered by English Park for all skill level. Lessons are 60 minutes and scheduled once or twice a week. We try to accommodate your requests for day and time. Lesson content is customized to each student’s level and their preferences.
F-1 Visa English Courses is offered by The English Island . The English Island International Student Program is CEA-accredited, meeting the highest standards for English language education
This course focuses on the practical application of principal language skills with emphasis and focuses on the basics of business writing and oral communication in business-related situations or contexts. Students are given a firm base and effective knowledge of business English.
California Language Academy’s Exam Preparation Programs are specifically designed for international students who want to further their education at an American college or university, or for students wanting to advance within their companies or career. We can help you prepare for the TOEIC.
