Conversational English (Upper Intermediate):

This course is aimed at helping non-native learners achieve proficiency in English communication. It focuses on speaking fluency paying special attention to grammatical accuracy and vocabulary building. This is a month long class providing students with an environment to practice and improve their communication skills in English on a regular basis.

Upper Advanced English I (UAE1):

This is the first in a series of group courses aimed at helping students achieve upper advanced proficiency in English.  This course focuses on continuous verb forms, perfect verb forms, cleft sentences, time and tense, and inversion with negative adverbials. In addition to that, students will practice concepts such as globalisation, urbanisation, feelings, advertising and emotions, idioms with “laugh”, and money and enterprise through speaking, writing and listening. 

By the end of this course, students should be able to give tips on how to learn a language, describe a story that provokes strong emotions, write a report, describe quantities, and summarise statistics. Once this course is complete, students will be ready for the next level course, Upper Advanced English II.

Upper Advanced English (UAE2):

This is the second in a series of group courses aimed at helping students achieve upper advanced proficiency in English.  This course focuses on patterns with comparatives/superlatives; modals, patterns with abstract nouns and relative clauses. In addition to that, students will practice concepts such as self- improvement; fitness, body idioms, polite social behaviour, varieties of English through speaking, writing and listening.  By the end of this course, students should be able to use appropriate intonation in suggestions, deal with a problem tactfully and ask people to do things via e-mail. Once this course is complete, students will be ready for the next level course, Upper Advanced English III.
