Accent Reduction
When it comes to speaking a language we may define “accent” as the way in which people in a particular area or country pronounce words. When people learn a new language they must pronounce and stress words correctly to be understood in that target language.
As a non-native speaker, having an accent is natural and there is nothing wrong with that as long as people understand clearly what you say. Nevertheless, sometimes our mother tongue accent may interfere with the other language that we are learning.
If someone is having problems communicating due to an accent they can overcome that problem by taking accent reduction courses. World Language Institute provides accent reduction training to individuals and corporations in most languages.
Culture Awareness
Effective communication in a foreign language depends not only on grammar and pronunciation, but also an understanding of the foreign culture. Knowledge of your foreign client’s customs will enhance your relationship from the beginning.
One of the biggest challenges that many businesses face today is the cultural clash when it comes to doing business. Each country and culture has its own way of doing things.
Successful businesses in the United States can sometimes fail to develop relationships by not communicating properly and effectively with potential clients. Such lack of knowledge may significantly impact future opportunities and profits.
At World Language Institute you can find the help you need. We help people understand people by learning the differences in doing business with Latin American countries. People interested in this service must be interviewed and take an assessment.
