Cristela Garcia secured her Bachelor's of Education Degree in Spanish and Government from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. In addition, Mrs. Garcia received Certification for Language and/or Learning Disabled.
Also from Texas A&I University, and holds Certifications in Regular Education and Special Education. Her professional career as an educator, which has spanned over 40 years, includes experience as a Reading/Spanish Teacher.
As well as various positions in the field of Special Education to include Resource Teacher, Math Teacher, Content Mastery Teacher and Department Coordinator. In her last position before retiring from teaching in 2013.
Mrs. Garcia served as the Credit Retrieval Director at John Jay High School within the Northside Independent School. Mrs. Garcia's vast professional experience includes teaching for Northside ISD.
Brownsville ISD, Edgewood ISD, Floresville ISD as well as George Gervin Academy. Mrs. Garcia continues to follow her passion for educating students as Owner & Executive Director for SA Leadership Academy.
